The American Friends of the Jewish Bible Association, Inc., isdevoted to promoting and advancing knowledge and appreciation of the TANAKHin the United States, Israel, and throughout the world. The American Friendsof the Jewish Bible Association, Inc., provides financial and other supportfor a variety of educational, scientific and literary activities including:

 

* Support of the JEWISH BIBLE ASSOCIATION in Jerusalem,an affiliate of the DEPARTMENT OF JEWISH ZIONIST EDUCATION OF THE JEWISHAGENCY

 

* PUBLICATION OF THE JEWISH BIBLE QUARTERLY, the only Jewishsponsored English language journal devoted exclusively to TANAKH and theonly one that welcomes viewpoints from Orthodox, Conservative, Reform,Reconstructionist and Secular-Humanistic perspectives. The JBQ publishesoriginal articles, translations from scholarly Hebrew journals, book andcomputer reviews, a triennial calendar of Bible reading and corrrespondence.Each issue includes articles on a variety of biblical subjects: literaryand textual analysis, theology, archaeology and history, and Torah Dialogueswhich are valuable for discussing the weekly Torah and Haftarah readings.
